How to Sell Feet Pics Online for Money

To give an example of how to sell feet photos for money.

One of the more unique ways to make more money is to sell feet pictures.  That’s it—just your feet.  Believe it or not, there are a number of different types of people and entities interested in purchasing feet pics, including podiatrists, digital publishers, advertising firms, bloggers, and online entrepreneurs.  Many of these professionals find it’s cheaper and more convenient to purchase feet pictures to use for marketing their goods and services that are feet-focused than it is to hire a professional foot model.  Feet pictures usually sell for anywhere from $5 to $50, depending on a number of factors, not the least of which is the quality of the photograph.  That’s often more important to the buyer than the general attractiveness of the feet pictured.

How to Sell Feet Pics Online

If you want to make some real money selling feet pics online, you need to treat it like you would any business venture.  Begin by establishing a separate email address that you will use exclusively to communicate with your prospective feet pics customers.  You should also create a unique profile, different from your personal profile, on any social media platform that you plan to use to promote your business, such as Facebook or Instagram.  You can decide whether you wish to reveal your real name or not; many feet pics sellers prefer to remain anonymous.

Study the competition.  Look at the multitude of feet pictures posted on the internet and make note of the variety of poses.  There are several Facebook groups for feet pics sellers.  Consider joining one.  The other members of the group can be very helpful by answering any questions you may have and providing you with some tips.  You may want to use your newly-created business profile when requesting to join the group unless you don’t care about your anonymity.

Set up an account with PayPal or a similar service through which your customers will route their payments to you.  Never send a customer a photo or provide access to one until you have received a payment confirmation.

Feet Pictures

Once you’ve studied the competition and decided on different poses for your feet pics, start snapping away.  Take some barefooted, with sandals or open-toed shoes, and even close-toed shoes or socks. You may want to include accessories, such as toe rings and ankle bracelets.  Pictures with multiple feet have a target audience, too, so you might choose to include your child’s and/or significant other’s feet in some of the pictures. The more unique the pictures you offer, the more likely you are to draw interest and beat out the competition, so don’t necessarily simply try to copy the poses and pictures you find on the internet.  Improve on them with your own special twist and build your portfolio.

Again, you want to post high-quality pictures.  This necessitates a clutter-free background.  Then, with good lighting, you can even produce a good quality picture using your smart phone.  You can use Pixlr, PicMonkey, or a similar tool to edit your photos on line.  These editing tools also enable you to add a watermark to your images.  This allows prospective customers to view your photos while guarding against theft since you will only remove the watermark when you send the photo after receiving payment.

Where to Sell Feet Pics

There are some websites for selling feet pics for money.  There are also stock image websites that pay you whenever one of your photos is downloaded.  Alternatively, or additionally, you can use one or more public social media platforms to market your images. Details on some of your options follow:

Instafeet:  Instafeet is a private social platform devoted to sell feet pics online.  You begin by creating a profile, which must then be approved by one of Instafeet’s agents before you can post your images.  You also need to provide a valid ID with your age.  Approval can take as long as three weeks.  Afterwards, you can post some pictures to attract subscribers, who pay for the privilege of viewing more of your photos.  Most users charge a monthly subscription fee that is less than $10.  Because this is a private social platform, unlike Facebook, Instagram, and others, only you and your subscribers can view your images.  You set your own price for your feet pics.  Check out what others are charging.  When you’re just starting out, you may want price your photos below market—maybe $5 to $10 a picture—to build up your customer base. Instafeet keeps 10% of your earnings, paying you the remainder on the 1st and 15th of every month.

Dollarfeet: DollarFeet is another site that focuses solely on feet.  You can upload both photos and videos of your feet, and the site pays $5 to $10 for any 5-minute video it accepts.  You need to apply to be a model on the site before you can submit anything, and it will take 24 hours for your application to be processed. Dollarfeet requires that you show your face, unlike Instafeet, which encourages you to do so, but doesn’t mandate it.

Foap: Foap is an app that enables you to sell any of your photos and videos—not just feet pics—to brands, including popular skin-care brand Nivea, or any other person or entity that might be interested.  All you have to do to get started is to download the app, sign up, and upload your best photos or videos.  Most pictures sell for around $10, and Foap gets half of that.

Stock image websites: There are numerous stock image websites that offer brands, agencies, and other of their users royalty-free stock photos and videos.  As with Foap, these websites aren’t exclusively focused on images of feet, but when you sign up as a contributor, you can upload your feet pics and videos to the site and get paid whenever one of their customers downloads it.  Check out Shutterstock, Dreamstime, iStock/Getty Images, 123RF, and Deposit Photos.  Their contributor requirements and payment structures vary.

Etsy: You may know Etsy as an online marketplace for unique and handmade goods.  Feet pics qualify.  Sellers generally sell their feet pics in packages of 5 to 10 photos.  You might create packages with different themes, such as “beach feet,” “dancing,” or “dressed up.”  Etsy charges a $0.20 listing fee.  When you sell an item, there is an additional 5% transaction fee and a 3% + $0.25 payment processing fee.

Instagram: Instagram is one of the most popular social media websites for selling feet pics. As mentioned earlier, when you plan to use a public social media platform to sell your feet images, it’s best to create a profile that is different from your personal profile on that platform.  Establishing an Instagram business account is recommended because it gives you access to Instagram Shopping, which you can then connect to your Facebook page.  Upload your product catalog, turn on the shopping features, tag your photos, and you’re good to go.  Your followers go to your product page to purchase your pictures.

Facebook:  Creating a Facebook business page is free and provides you with a number of tools for connecting with your customers and building ads.  In addition, you get access to Facebook’s analytics, which can provide you with insights into what types of feet pics get the most likes on both your page and your competitors’ pages.

Take advantage of any or all of the above options for selling your feet pics and enjoy the passive income that can be generated.
